Whether you’re a fan of the White Sox, Red Sox, Baltimore Orioles or the Minnesota Twins, there’s a treasure for you at The Dugout Allstar Sports Collectibles. The emerging Main Street retailer will be a one-stop shop for collectors of sports cards and a wide range of items for fans of all sports.
“We have jerseys and autographed memorabilia – anything sports related. And my wife does custom framing and shadowboxes,” said Mosie Ruderman, who owns and will operate the store with his wife Kendra.
One of his latest acquisitions is an autographed Russell Wilson helmet. In this neck of the woods, Steeler gear is a must, he said.
The store will be located at 143 East Main Street, next to Landmark Realty. Grand opening weekend is April 20 & 21. There will be raffles and hotdogs. Hours of operation are 2-8 p.m.
Known in the area for his painting profession, Mosie Ruderman is a longtime sports enthusiast.
“I’ve collected sports cards from the 1980s and have gone to sports cards shows around West Virginia,” he said. “I’ve been buying, selling and trading for the last five years – high-end cards, and graded and ungraded sports cards in boxes.”
Knowing there are plenty of collectors out there, Ruderman began entertaining the idea of opening a store. Earlier this week, he began moving display cases in and in the coming weeks the couple will continue to prepare for their grand opening.
The Dugout will be open Wednesdays through Sundays. Stay tuned to Connect-Bridgeport for further details and information.
