The force will be strong at the Bridgeport City Pool on July 11.
“We’re going to have Star Wars Night at the Bridgeport pool and we are going to feature a showing of Rogue One on the big movie screen,” Interim City Manager and Parks and Recreation Director Joe Shuttleworth said during last week’s Council meeting.
The movie will begin at dark and be shown on a 16×20 movie screen. The movie will be proceeded by an open swim from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
The pool will remain open during the movie but patrons must be on a flotation device, which if you don’t bring your own, there will be ones available.
Concessions, music, and photo ops will also be available during the event.
Admission price is $3.50 per person or patrons will be admitted with a valid pass.
Later this summer the City Pool will have a Christmas in July Party (July 25), a Back to School Party (Aug. 1) and a second Dive-in Movie night featuring Lilo & Stitch (Aug. 8).
