A first-of-its-kind event that will benefit the Bridgeport FFA Alumni and Supporters will take place July 18-19 on Jerry Dove Drive near the airport.
McCray Cattle Company and the Bridgeport FFA Alumni and Supporters present Cattle Battle, a family event that will feature bull riding from pro riders, novice competitors, mini bull riders, and mutton busting.
Seventy-five percent of the proceeds will benefit the Bridgeport FFA Alumni and Supporters, a group dedicated to supporting the FFA chapter at Bridgeport High School.
Cattle Battle will also feature food trucks, student businesses, school concessions, and the presentation of the National Anthem by the Bridgeport High School Choir.
It will be a cash-only event with admission prices of $20 for adults and $10 for those age 12 and under.
Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. both days with a showtime start of 7 p.m. Guests are asked to bring their own chairs.
