Since opening in February, The Gryphon’s Nest gaming store and center has already outgrown its 126 West Main Street location. In recent weeks, the Bridgeport business has been relocating next store, at 130 West Main Street.
“It’s because we needed a bigger area. We have had more gaming communities and players than we could handle. Business has been very well,” said owner Chris Griffin.
Inventory has grown during the six months he has been in business and the venue is hosting gaming groups including Magic the Gathering, Warhammer, Lorcana, Star Wars, Pokémon Bloodbowl, and more. On Aug. 11, The Gryphon’s Nest will host its biggest event to date. Beginning at noon, challengers are welcome at the Last Chance – Worlds Practice (Shrouded Fable Format).
The new location was formerly occupied by Music on Main, which featured live music and various music lessons.
Both buildings are owned by Jack and Sommer Brown.
The Gryphon’s Nest original site, which formerly housed De’Nuzzo’s Italian Deli, is available for lease.(See below)
“It’s available and we’re taking applications, looking to have it leased and ready for the fall holiday season,” Sommer Brown said.
