The Bridge Sports Complex is once again hosting the Fast and Furriest 50K virtual race. You and your four-legged family member can earn rewards by walking, running or hiking 31 miles throughout the month of May.

Here’s how it works:

Track your dog walks or runs using any fitness tracker app. You can log your miles online or on a paper log. Once you have registered, a link will be emailed where you can track online and update every time  you venture out. Alternatively, you can access a paper log that must be submitted once you complete your virtual 50-kilometer/31-mile course. Everything must be submitted by June 1. Once you hit 50K, you will earn your rewards, including a 50K virtual race medal, digital certificate of completion, car decal and dog bandana. Most importantly, you will be motivated to stay active with your dog throughout the year.

You have 31 days to complete 31 miles. Registration opens April 1 and will close May 10. The race officially begins May 1 and ends May 31. If you’re late registering, you will begin tracking your mileage beginning on your registration date. Every registered participant will be asked to email a photo of their furry friend to be included in a photo album.

The cost is $15 for one human and one dog and $5 for up to three additional dogs. For a fee of $5, you can have your rewards mailed to you. Alternatively, you can pick them up at The Bridge Sports Complex.
