City Egg Hunt to be Held Outdoors at The Bridge; Underwater Egg Hunt Also Happening on Separate Date
The City of Bridgeport Easter Egg Hunt for preschoolers is Tuesday, March 26 and will take place outdoors at The Bridge Sports Complex. Beginning at 1:30 p.m., kids ages 1 through 5 can visit with The Easter Bunny and the egg hunt will begin promptly at 2 p.m.
The little ones will be divided by age for the egg hunt which will feature thousands of candy-stuffed plastic eggs. Following the hunt, kids can engage in open play, make crafts and continue visits with The Easter Bunny through 2:45 p.m.
Registration is not necessary for the March 26 egg hunt. Children should bring a bag or basket for gathering eggs.
Registration is required, however, for the Underwater Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23. The event will feature weighted and unweighted eggs; some will sink and some will float. Children ages 1 through 12 may participate: the younger children finding eggs in the warmup pool and older children in the competition pool. All participants will receive a goody bag. The cost is $5 per participant. There will be three start times for the hunt: 9 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Bring swimsuit, a towel, waterproof container for eggs, and goggles, if needed.
