Featuring a hot pink trailer and vibrant logo, Blessed and Grounded will be easy to spot at upcoming events. In addition to hot, iced and frozen espresso, the new mobile business will serve teas, energy drinks and dirty sodas for which the sky is the limit.

“You pick your base then add up to two syrups and a cream – either sweet cream, sugar-free or half-and-half,” said Co-Owner Tiffany Pierce. “You might choose a Dr. Pepper with coconut syrup and sweet cream or a Mountain Dew with blue raspberry and vanilla syrup and half-and-half.”
Her partnership with Kara Postlethwait derives from a friendship and pact to someday go into business together, one that for years was on the back burner. The idea for the business was brewed from a desire to start a business that Pierce’s little girl, Gigi, and Postlethwait’s young son. Lyric. could grow up learning and a desire to serve up something fun to the community.
“I liked the idea of doing coffee then saw on TikTok the idea of dirty sodas and we decided to do all of it,” Pierce said.
The business timeline has been quick. It was just February when the idea rooted and inspired the purchase of a trailer.
The hot pink shade had the blessing of Pierce’s four-year-old, who loves the color and all things Barbie. The fact that the color is so eye-catching was icing on the cake.
The logo was designed by friend Shawna Lantz and chosen by members of the Blessed and Grounded VIP Facebook group.
As for the name, that fell into place also.
“We wanted something that reflected us being very blessed to be able to this and thankful for everything we have while staying grounded – which, of course – ties back into the coffee,” Pierce said.
The bright colors representing the business are consistent with the looks of the products served.
“It’s called layering and it makes these drinks very pretty and will attract kids for sure, but also adults who love coffee and the health-conscious who prefer healthy options,” Pierce said.
Sugar-free and caffeine-free options are available.
“We’ll have flavored waters with syrups in them and if kids can’t have sugar, every syrup we carry – from raspberry and coconut to blue raspberry and cherry – will have a sugar-free option,” Pierce said. “Kids can order the popular drinks like Mermaid and Shark Bite drinks without sugar.”
On the flipside, Blessed and Grounded will offer energy teas and drinks ranging from various Alani and Red Bull varieties served as is or dirty.
Also available as an add-on is bobas, also known as tapioca pearls or bubbles.
The owners’ collective experience with jobs at hotels, restaurants, and smoothie bars has come in handy for the mobile business. Still, they have put in several late nights making and perfecting drinks.

There is one food item available at Blessed and Grounded.
“That’s my mom’s peanut butter sheet cake,” Pierce said. “It has become very popular in our community, and we’ll serve a gluten-free version of that as well.”
Blessed and Grounded is making its debut today at Monongah Elementary School.
“That will be a nice little event to get our feet wet and after that, we are making drinks for a family and friends night to see if we need more practice or if we are ready to go live,” Pierce said. “We haven’t made one drink yet and we have 20 events booked.”
Those events include the Cecil Jarvis 5K, One King Sports 5K, the Bridgeport Summer Kickoff and Food Truck Festival. The trailer will also be parked, on occasion, at local businesses. Stay up to date at its Facebook page.
“We’re going to make it all as fun as possible with a backdrop for interactive pictures with drinks which customers can tag us on Facebook and TikTok,” Pierce said. “And we will not accept tips, but will rather have a kindness fund, named after my mom. We’ll be going to a lot of sporting events and sometimes parents can’t afford these kinds of drinks and kids can’t get anything. We’ll make sure that doesn’t happen.”
