Bridgeport Revitalization and Hydration will soon be coming to Bridgeport and surrounding areas. Owner Ashton Cox, R.N., explains the service as primarily a mobile hydration business.
An ER nurse at both United Hospital Center and Mon Marion, Cox will administer hydration, wellness boosts and other fluids intravenously.
“For instance, if you wake up with a migraine, I can come to your house and give you an IV that will help you feel better,” she said. “I can also do an athletic recovery IV.”
She also hopes to add Semaglutide and Tirzepatide for weight loss and Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+).
“NAD+ regulates mood, improves athletic performance and helps with fatigue and the aging process,” Cox said. “Our bodies make it, but as we get older, we don’t make as much of it as we need.”
Having worked in the medical field for about six years, Cox was interested in utilizing her skills in an additional way and on her own schedule. When she heard of a mobile hydration business, she was interested.
“I have a friend in Parkersburg who started doing it and I thought it was really cool,” Cox said. “I have three kids who are all busy and I don’t want to work at the hospital forever.
She made necessary phone calls, finding a provider and a company through which she could work with a medical director. When a request for service comes into Bridgeport Hydration and Revitalization, Cox will set the proposed patient up with a short Tellahealth visit with her medical director who will make sure there are no contraindications and that the treatment is safe for the patient.
Contraindications could include medication interference, as well as pancreatic or kidney issues or chemotherapy treatment, among others. Once the patient is cleared, Cox will then receive an order for the product and will travel to the patient’s home or other location to administer the treatment.
In addition to servicing individuals, Cox hopes to set up at gyms, 5Ks and other events where hydration is needed and can be administered on the spot.
In addition to Bridgeport, she will service all of Harrison County, as well as Marion, Barbour, and Lewis counties. As far as she knows, no one else is providing a mobile IV service focusing on recovery, wellness and total-body revitalization this side of Morgantown. She believes there is a market for her service here.
“Bridgeport is a community big on health and wellness, and I think this will definitely go over well,” said Cox.
Patients must be older than 15 years of age and if under 18, must have a parent or guardian present.
Cox is confident of her inventory and familiar with the ingredient list of all fluids she will administer. In fact, she has utilized the migraine treatment before and it does work, she said.
Once all her inventory is received, Bridgeport Hydration and Revitalization will be up and running and Cox estimates that to be around March 15, which happens to be her birthday.

At least for the meantime, she will continue her career in emergency medicine, one she loves and feels called to do.
