The Bridgeport Police Department would like to remind motorists that the Derek Hotsinpiller Fallen Stars Memorial 5K will take place on Saturday, June 6, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

During the event, motorists should expect temporary road closures and traffic detours along the race route. Areas affected include:

• Johnson Avenue (near the schools)
• Water Street
• Virginia Avenue
• Worthington Drive
• Long Street
• Hall Street

We encourage motorists to avoid these areas during the race whenever possible to help prevent delays and ensure the safety of participants, volunteers, and spectators.
