My name is Lisa Lang. I own and operate About You Gift & Monogram and Mahjong Social.

About You began strictly as a location for embroidery and has since become what we think of as the mecca for unique merchandise for gifting, home, or yourself.

Mahjong Social was designed immediately after I returned from market in July, when I had the opportunity to meet and learn of the fun and social aspects of playing Mahjong. The 19th-century tile game originated in China and has resurfaced around the world as not only a game of skill, but also a game that thrives on the mind and offers opportunity to be social.

About You officially opened its doors in March of 2017 as a support to the oil and gas industry in need of professional personalization. It wasn’t long before we met the desire to personalize clothing, items for the home, and merchandise to establish ownership such as nap towels for little ones.

I love working with local people as well as businesses to find that perfect item they were looking for. It’s even more rewarding when we find the item they didn’t know they were looking for!

I have been a member of the ABB since its early beginnings. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the brainstorming, development, and follow-through of their events. If I had to pick just one …. I would say the chance to witness the growth of and the gathering of so many during Light Up Night. That evening is truly the time to reflect on the true meaning of the season and all its excitement!

My husband and I got involved in the early stages of the ABB as a chance to get involved by working with other small businesses to strengthen our community by working together on issues that affect small business as well as giving back to our community.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the ABB board of directors and its members not only for the planning of the fun community activities or the chance to give back, but also for the knowledge gained and the lifelong relationships made and that I continue to make.

I have had the great opportunity to work with local as well as nationally known customers over almost 10 years.

A few years ago, a local customer set up a time for her daughter and I to chat about holiday gift ideas for her employer. I assisted her in designing and shipping over 100 items around the country for NFL Quarterback Boomer Esiason Foundation.

It is truly a blessing to come to my office located on Main Street every day and get the chance to do what I do ……. Creatively design and shop for items that I have the great fortune to share with my customers. Small business is the backbone of our community and the ones that continually support our local community opportunities.
