Four years into her SunmoonApparel journey, Kaitlyn Glaspell has announced that she will be relocating her store from one end of Main Street to the other. Currently located at 202 East Main Street, the boutique – which features thrifted upcycled clothing, organic personal care products and accessories – among other items – is moving to 136 West Main Street.
“It’s a new opportunity and blessing really,” she said. “We’ve been at the current location since we opened in 2020, so we’re excited about this new adventure.”
Glaspell said she wasn’t necessarily looking for another building to house her store, but when she realized the West Main Street storefront was available, she jumped on it.
“The space itself is just beautiful. They have redone so much of it, including new flooring and paint,” she said. “It just has all the things I’ve wanted in a space – natural lighting and a raw brick wall.”
The new store will have slightly more room for inventory also.
“We will still carry everything that we currently do, but we may add some products too, work with some new artists,” Glaspell said.
She is currently working with artists who make tie-dye embroidery upcycles and accessories.
“We will still carry Moon Flower items and also will have a bigger selection of all-natural wellness, including organic skin and body care.
The current SunmoonApparel store will be open throughout the month of August and Glaspell said she hopes to reopen at the West Main Street location in mid- to late-September.
Glaspell said she couldn’t be more grateful for the community’s support so far of a retail adventure that has exceeded all of her expectations.
“This is all more than I could have ever imagined. I just don’t know what else in life I would have been meant to be doing right now,” she said.
The new SunmoonApparel will be located in the building which formerly housed Velvet Rose Bridal, two doors down from the former Music on Main and across the parking lot from HempWorks and Allstate Insurance.
