There are plenty of things to enjoy during your stay. Several nearly by local and state parks offer opportunity to explore fitness trails, hiking trails, swimming and cycling or simply pack a picnic and enjoy some time outside.
Make sure you bring your clubs with you to Bridgeport. With several area golf courses, including the Pete Dye Golf Club, you can play golf on some of the best courses West Virginia has to offer. The Pete Dye Golf Club has been rated the best course in West Virginia and one of the 100 best in America.
The Bridge Sports Complex offers year-round recreation inside the state-of-the-art Citynet Center, which features two pools, indoor walk track, basketball/pickleball courts, indoor turf, fitness classes, Clip ‘n Climb, and more. If you love fresh fruit and vegetables, the Bridgeport Harrison County Farmers Market is open every Sunday spring through fall, rain or shine. And new this year is the Bridgeport Farmers and Wellness Market, a collaborative of the City of Bridgeport and United Hospital Center.
Not far from Bridgeport you will find whitewater rafting, kayaking and canoeing opportunities that offer some of the most exciting (and beautiful) whitewater experiences in the state.
